A template is a starting structure, not a finished business process. Adapt it to the real request, remove unnecessary questions and configure a destination owned by the publisher.
Choose the closest starting point
Open a template whose purpose resembles the final form. Loading it replaces the current builder draft, so download work you need to keep before switching to a different template.
Rewrite the title and field copy
Use the Form tab for the form name, heading and introduction. Select each field to change its label, field name, placeholder, help text, required state, width or option list.
Configure one deliberate destination
Choose an HTTPS endpoint or one supported app handoff in Export. The destination is embedded in generated browser code and is public; never paste SMTP credentials, secret keys or private tokens into it.
Preview and test before downloading
Use desktop and mobile preview, then verify validation and the status message.
- Remove fields that the recipient will not use.
- Confirm required fields are genuinely required.
- Check spelling and option values.
- Test the destination on a representative device.
- Download a fresh ZIP after the final change.
Frequently asked questions
Does changing a template edit the original?
No. It creates a working draft in your browser; the template catalogue remains unchanged.
Can I switch templates after editing?
Yes, but loading another template replaces the current draft. Export anything you want to preserve first.
Can I add a secret destination?
No. Generated front-end code is public. Use a server endpoint if a destination or credential must remain private.
