Field order should follow the visitor’s task. FormToInbox lets you add controls, duplicate a configured field, remove it and change its position without editing generated code.

Add the control that matches the question

Choose a text, email, phone, message, select, checkbox, radio or content field from the Add fields panel. New input fields are placed before the submit button so the final action remains last.

Duplicate only when structure repeats

Select a field and use Duplicate to create a copy after it. Change the copied label and generated field name so the submitted data remains understandable and each question stays unique.

Reorder with drag or move buttons

Drag a field in the canvas when using a pointer, or use its Move up and Move down controls for a predictable alternative. Arrange broad context first and detailed questions afterward.

Use undo before reset

Undo and redo cover builder checkpoints such as add, duplicate, delete and reorder. Reset returns to the default contact form after confirmation and should be treated as a larger change.

Frequently asked questions

Where does a new field appear?

Input fields are inserted before the submit button in the current builder draft.

Can I reorder without dragging?

Yes. Every selected field exposes Move up and Move down buttons.

What should I check after duplicating?

Update the label, field name, help text, required setting and any choices so the copy has a distinct purpose.
