The free FormToInbox builder saves its working draft in local storage on the current browser and origin. That is convenient for returning to a form, but it is not an account, backup or cloud synchronization service.
Know what autosave protects
As you edit, the builder stores the current form and export settings in the browser. The saved draft can survive closing and reopening a normal browsing session on the same device, browser profile and site origin.
Know what autosave cannot protect
A local draft does not follow you to another device or browser and is not uploaded to a FormToInbox account. Clearing site data, changing the origin, browser privacy controls or ending a private-browsing session can remove or prevent access to it.
Export before a major change
Download a ZIP before loading a different template, clearing browser data or resetting a draft you may need later. The exported files are a portable snapshot; they do not remain linked to later builder changes.
Reset deliberately
Reset asks for confirmation and returns the builder to its default contact form. Prefer undo for a recent field edit. Use reset only when you intend to replace the whole current draft, and inspect the result before exporting again.
Frequently asked questions
Is my builder draft saved to a FormToInbox account?
No. The current free builder has no active accounts or cloud draft synchronization; the draft stays in local browser storage.
Will a private browsing draft remain?
Do not rely on it. Browsers generally clear private-session storage after the last private tab or window closes.
Can reset be undone?
Treat reset as a replacement of the current draft. Download a ZIP first if you may need the existing version.
